Violins of Hope - Making Music for Local Students
Edgar Snyder & Associates is working with WPXI’s 11 Cares to help get instruments to students at schools in need. Violins of Hope, a local nonprofit organization, has organized a series of instrument collections throughout the region. The instruments will be cleaned, repaired, and distributed to students who otherwise might not have been able to afford an instrument of their own.
Over 100 instruments have been collected so far, and according to Violins of Hope, they’ve been “overwhelmed with the generosity of Pittsburghers.” The refurbished instruments will be given to local schools and students on World Kindness Day, at a concert with the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra at Heinz Hall on November 19.
Our law firm is honored to be a part of this initiative. “This is an amazing chance to help enrich the lives of local students,” said partner and CEO Armand Leonelli. “Access to the arts is something that shouldn’t be limited by financial circumstances, and we’re proud that we’re able to make owning an instrument a reality for these kids.”
