The Heyward House with Cam Heyward
When you're fortunate, you give back – that's football star Cam Heyward's philosophy. His foundation, The Heyward House, has a clear mission: To help the kids who need it most. As a law firm devoted to giving back to the community, it’s been an honor to team up with Cam over the years.
We were honored to feature Cam, his foundation, and their work when we received a Corporate Citizenship Award from the Pittsburgh Business Times.
What is the Heyward House?
We are proud of the work we’ve done with Cam Heyward throughout the years to support our community:
KidsVoice: We first teamed up with Cam to support KidsVoice, an organization thatadvocates for children in the child-welfare system. Some of these kids live in group homes or in foster homes. Some have been abused and neglected.
Craig’s Closet: Not having the “right” clothes shouldn’t be something that holds anyone back from pursuing their dreams. Craig’s Closet removes that barrier by providing high school boys in Pittsburgh with free dress clothes for internships, job interviews, banquets, and more.
Helping Kids As They Heal
UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Child Advocacy Center: Together with The Heyward House, we worked to support the Child Advocacy Center at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh by contributing clothing, school supplies, and transportation for families in need.
UPMCChildren’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Austin’s Playroom: We were humbled to spend time in Austin’s Playroom at Children’s Hospital with Cam, meeting children and families and hearing their stories. Nothing brings our staff a bigger sense of satisfaction than when we are able to help improve children’s lives.
